There are 4 main ways to get involved and partner with us during Pray4Dothan week:
INDIVIDUAL PRAYER
We invite every person to join in and all Dothan area churches to encourage their people to join in prayer using our Pray4Dothan prayer guide. It will center mostly on prayer for the city, believing that through united prayer, we will see God move to bring breakthroughs and blessings. We believe in the power of prayer!
WORKPLACE PRAYER
We encourage people to pray at their workplaces. We will have a workplace prayer guide that focuses more on God moving and blessing our workplaces. You can join with others you work with or pray on your own before work. This will hopefully awaken many to their role in bringing God into their workplaces.
STUDENT PRAYER
We are asking students to pray for their campuses before school on Monday-Wednesday (August 18-20), and youth pastors to pray for all Dothan area students, schools, and student ministries. We may have a student-specific prayer guide available closer to time. Check back later!
CITY PRAYER TEAMS
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of Pray4Dothan week, we hope to have Prayer Teams at every major intersection, praying from 7:30-8am and proclaiming the Lordship of Christ over the city. We ask everyone to wear red and have a Pray4Dothan sign (provided) to be highly visible. They say the population of Dothan swells to about 150,000 during a workday, and most go through these intersections during this time.
In addition to praying for God to speak to every person in every car, our hope is that people will see those praying and think things like: “Man, a lot of people are praying for Dothan this week. I wonder why.” “Should I pray?” “Where am I spiritually?” We want to have enough teams so that just about everyone sees people praying on their commute to town and to work.
